Bear Track Campground—Manistee National Forest Professional Review and Guide
"The park’s name came from a bear print found on-site when it was being set up years ago, a story that suggests what a struggle it is to name the incredibly numerous camps in the woods here in Michigan. The camp is situated in a forested area along the south side of the Manistee River. Stairs lead down to the river for a paddler’s carry-in. A 1.5-mile spur trail connects hikers to the North Country National Scenic Trail. Anglers can come for salmon, trout, and steelhead."
