Ludington State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This 5,300-acre state park lies between Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake, offering beaches on both. Camping is divided into 3 sections: Pines with its 99 sites (closest to Lake Michigan), Cedars with 106 sites, and Beechwood with 147 sites (closest to Hamlin and Lost Lakes). Online maps indicate the sunny versus shady sites. All have mini cabins as well, plus there are hike-in sites north of the modern loops. Big Sable Point Lighthouse is within the park. Paddlers enjoy a “pathway” in Hamlin Lake, and hikers have over 21 miles of trails to explore the woods, marshlands, and dunes."
