The campground, south of the day-use section of the park of the same name, lies on an isthmus between Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette Lake. The sites are on the bigger lake’s side of Lakeshore Drive and are well shaded by trees. There are no water views, as the dunes and the growth that has taken them over separate the sites from the shore. Wooden stairs lead to the beach. Not all sites have grills.
