Black River Harbor National Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"Boaters delight in one of the few public access points on Lake Superior this close to the Ironwood area. The Black River, dark with tannins, tumbles dramatically down to the lake with 5 notable waterfalls reachable by hiking paths. The campground is to the east of the river and day-use areas. All sites have paved camping spurs and surrounding vegetation to grant privacy, but only 7 of them have lake views. A suspension bridge gives visitors access to the bridge in the day-use area as well as the North Country National Scenic Trail, from where they can con- tinue north next to the Porcupine Mountains."
