This campground is located inside the recreation area and surrounded almost entirely by national forest. The loops are in the woods with good shade and spaced out very nicely for privacy and a quiet camping experience. Some of the sites have lake views. The park offers a few easy trails but also a more strenuous trek along 9 miles of the Ge-Che Trail. Down by the swimming beach is also a long T-shaped fishing pier. Log buildings and stone fire- places in the picnic area were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps back in the 1930s.
