Deep in Copper Country State Forest lies this lakeside, heavily wooded campground. Sites are private and quite shaded. Fishing here is good for walleye, panfish, and pike, and a boat launch is on-site. While there are no trails connected here, one can drive to Mer- riman East 4 miles to the north for 9.5 miles of trails suitable both for hikers and mountain bikers. Birders will want to go south 5 miles and check out Fumee Lake Natural Area or 10 miles north to Groveland Mine Wetland.
