Petoskey State Park

Petoskey State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located at the eastern end of Little Traverse Bay, the park surprisingly has no boat launches. Not to worry, however, as both Harbor Springs and Petoskey in either direction have public launches to get out on the water. The park has 2 campgrounds: Dunes and Tannery Creek. Dunes has 80 sites that are mostly shaded and separated from the lake by a narrow band of trees and the dunes. This is closer to the day-use area. Tannery Creek, which lies farther south, away from the day traffic, has 98 sites laid out in 4 loops extending perpendicular to the lake. The southernmost loop offers the most sunshine; otherwise most are shaded. About 3 miles of hiking trails are on-site, and the beach is sandy."
