Lake Margrethe State Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"The campground is situated on the west shore of a developed portion of Lake Margrethe. In fact, much of the shoreline is privately owned, and an industrial park sits along the southernmost shore, but at least the camp is nicely wooded and is buffered from development to the south by state forest. Across the lake to the east is Hanson State Game Area, but this is separated from the water by a strip of cottages and homes. Anglers can find walleye, pike, perch, and smallmouth bass, and both the Manistee and Au Sable Rivers are a short drive from here for good trout fishing and paddling."
