Canoe Harbor State Forest Campground and Canoe Camp Professional Review and Guide
"The South Branch of the Au Sable flows north to connect with the rest of the river flowing east. While this campground is accessible from the water and favored by paddlers, there are abundant sites for those who just prefer to stay in one place and enjoy the scenic river either with day paddle excursions or for fishing and hiking along its length. The sites are on dirt/ gravel pads and best for smaller trailers. The trees afford some shade, but most sites still get some sun. The Mason Tract next to the camp has over 11 miles of hiking on rolling terrain."
