Once a Native American settlement and then a lumber town, this park lies along Lake Muskallonge and on the south side of the road from Lake Superior. There are so many places to visit in this area, including Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, lighthouses, Kingston Plains, and the Seney National Wildlife Refuge. Seven loops of sites run north to south and parallel to each other. Shade is partial, and privacy isn’t the best. The North Country National Scenic Trail passes through the park. There are stairs to the beach on Lake Superior across the county highway.
