Situated on what is almost an island in this little sprawling lake, the campground is nicely shaded and rustic. Anglers will find walleye, pike, muskie, bass, perch, and bluegill here, and a boat ramp in camp to get to them. Hikers and mountain bikers share over 27 miles of trails that connect Kingston Lake to Fox River State Forest Campground. This is a good home base for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, but it is not on Lake Superior.
