Grand Haven State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The main attractions here are obviously Lake Michigan, the long pier, and the Grand Haven Lighthouse. The beach is beautiful and busy, and the park is right at the edge of town. However, the modern sites, set back from the beach but in sight of the water, feel more like a crowded, shadeless parking lot. This will be fine for some big rigs but less attractive for tents, especially when the asphalt heats up in summer. Metal detecting and cross-country skiing are popular pastimes here. Alcohol is not permitted in the park."
