Good Harbor Bay Loop Professional Review and Guide
"A short loop through diverse habitats--dunes, forests, wetlands, and shore. A unique opportunity to visit the lakeshore of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Wetlands and small creeks here support wildlife and birds amid plenty of opportunities to view the nature of the dunes. The 2.8-mile Good Harbor Bay Loop traces more of a square than a meandering circle.
It moves through sandy dunes and wooded fringe areas, then into a wetland habitat that borders the southern leg of the trail, then woodlands, and, finally, the sand shores of Lake Michigan again. The four sides of this "loop" are each about 0.75 mile long, with the trailhead located midway along the northern leg."
