Boney Falls Basin Professional Review and Guide
"Set alongside an impoundment on the Escanaba River, this woodsy campground is great both for wildlife viewing and fishing. Fly fishers come for brown trout in sum- mer. While the river isn’t always ideal for paddlers, as water levels can get quite low, in normal periods it offers a gentle current above the dam and a portage to the river below it. Sites are primi- tive and offer some shade, and there is a picnic area south of here near the dam."
