The Garden Peninsula Sac Bay to Fayette State Park

The Garden Peninsula: Sac Bay to Fayette State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This route includes beautiful limestone bluffs, sand beaches, a gull and cormorant rookery, and a historic iron smelting townsite. The west side of the Garden Peninsula, within Big Bay De Noc, provides a relatively sheltered route for beginning to intermediate paddlers.

In addition to sheltered waters and beautiful coastal scenery, the Fayette State Park includes a historic townsite and museum on the iron smelting industry, which was active in Snail Shell Harbor during the 1800s."
