Tawas Point State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Some may call Tawas Point the Cape Cod of the Midwest. The park is halfway out on a point that includes a Victorian-style lighthouse and an interpretive trail that runs the length of the peninsula with beaches on both sides. The campsites are laid out in 3 parallel loops, and all have a good mix of shade and exposure. The waters of Tawas Bay are a bit warmer than the usual Lake Huron experience, making it good for a swim, and the fishing is quite good as well. Birders can expect a lot of migratory species in the spring. Cabins are available year-round."
