Drummond Island Township Park Professional Review and Guide
"Just a short ferry ride from the rest of the Upper Peninsula, Drummond Island is one of Lake Huron’s largest. The township park offers a 3-mile heritage trail. The beach is sandy, and the water is shallow a long way out. In fact, you can walk to a nearby island. Res- taurants and provisions are just 2 miles east of here. The wildlife and especially birdlife are quite varied on the island, as it has 13 ecosystems. Migration routes pass here in spring and fall. The campsites are private and well shaded by the forest. Sunsets are nice from the beach area."
