Tour de Wayne and Washtenaw Classic Professional Review and Guide
"Metro Detroit doesn't spring to mind as the best training turf for competitive cycling, but it worked for Frankie Andreu, who submitted this ride. A nine-time finisher of the Tour de France, former U.S. Postal Service teammate of Lance Armstrong, and native of the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Andreu says it takes him four and a half to five hours to do this ride through mostly suburban and exurban areas.
If you're more accustomed to a leisurely pace, there are plenty of places to linger along the route, including Northville, Dexter, Ann Arbor, and Plymouth.
Terrain: Flat to rolling. Two steep hills on Glazier Way heading out of Ann Arbor."
