Pentoga Park Professional Review and Guide
"Members of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwa) people once tread upon this land, and within its boundaries are a few remaining burial sites. Iron County purchased the land in 1922 in order to preserve this sacred historic site. The park lies on the southern end of Chicaugon Lake. Fishing is for bass, muskie, walleye, and lake trout. The beach is good for swimming, and the campgrounds have plenty of shade. The playground and sporting equipment give everyone plenty to do, plus there is the George Young Golf Course just west of here. The fall colors in the park are wonderful."
