Bewabic State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Just off US 2, this easy-to-find state park is part of the Iron County Heri- tage Trail System, a 14-mile stretch from Iron River to Crystal Falls. This makes a good base camp for exploring the sites, which range from museums to Native American burial grounds. The park has a great beach on Fortune Lake (also known as First Lake, as this is a chain of lakes) and a hiking trail that connects the campground to the day-use area. The sites are divided into 3 loops, all of which are well shaded by trees that offer some startling colors in fall. Sites are mostly well spaced, and many have intervening understory to grant some privacy."
