William Mitchell State Park Professional Review and Guide
"The state park lies between Lake Cadillac to the east and Lake Mitchell to the west, and the northern edge of the campground borders the boat channel that connects the two. A few sites along the channel are completely sunny, but the rest of the camp enjoys good shade trees. The lakes are notable for walleye and can be accessed by boat as well as some canal-side fishing. Beaches and boat launches are both at the campground and across the high- way to the west. The Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center offers information and educational displays. The northern portion of the state park has good nature observation from trails, a plat- form, and a shelter."
