Boyne Mountain Loop

Boyne Mountain Loop Professional Review and Guide

"The sculpted slopes of the Boyne Mountain Ski Area are visible from miles away, but what is not apparent is the skinny singletrack hiding in the nearby forest. Hand cut by local fat-tire enthusiasts, these trails create a maze of steep cross-country ski trails and singletracks.

The route here follows portions of the Grand Prix Race Loop and Superbowl Loop; however, as development marches forward at Boyne, sections of the Grand Prix Loop are disappearing. An alternative route is described just in case a large portion of Grand Prix disappears altogether. Tread: 0.5 mile of paved road, 9.2 miles of singletrack and ski trail."

Overall a fun ride. The sandy soil was quite a treat and challenge. The first mile was fun for my 10 year old who is just starting singletrack riding. There are a couple fall line climbs that could benefit from some IMBA trail solutions. Thanks to the ski resort for giving access to this gem.
