Young State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Situated on the eastern reaches of the 17,260-acre Lake Charlevoix, this state park has 3 campgrounds: Oak, Spruce, and Terrace. The park offers nearly 5 miles of hiking trails. The lake is stocked with rainbow, brown, and lake trout, but Mirror Pond lets the kids fish for rock bass and sunfish. Terrace Campground has 41 sites and has a boat launch within its loops. Oak Campground has the same number of sites and is also close to the lake. Spruce is the larg- est campground and has 158 sites in 4 loops, the western ends of each loop being closest to the lake. Most of the sites within the park have partial shade, with trees scattered throughout."
