To experience the Black River Scenic Byway in the winter is pristine. I took the actual North Country Trail along the river to Great Conglomerate, Potawotami, and Gorge Falls. They were breathtakingly beautiful in their winter coats! I came across just one other person on snow shoes. The snow is wonderfully deep and fun to hike into and the scenery is something out of a storybook. I have some waterfall photography online now and will be posting more.
