Tobico Marsh Trail

Tobico Marsh Trail Professional Review and Guide

"A 4-mile loop near a lagoon in a state game area. The Tobico Marsh wetland habitats are home to varied wildlife, and more than two hundred species of birds. DNR biologists estimate that as many as six thousand ducks and geese filter through the marsh as they migrate south in the fall.

The area also offers a glimpse of rare Michigan flora and fauna that's only duplicated in larger, remote marshes in northern Michigan. Deer, beaver, mink, muskrat, more than a dozen species of ducks and geese, more than one hundred species of songbirds and shorebirds, plus rare wildflowers and shrubs can all be found in the area."
