Located in the national forest among wetlands, this campground is best for getting away from it all and seeing some wildlife. There’s even a short interpretive trail through the forest. Sites are shaded by birch and hemlock forest. Although this is right on the Little Man- istee River, it is a shallow stretch. So paddling is not recommended, and the only angler interest is likely to be some trout fishing.
