One Half of A2: With a Short Cruise Down Easy Street Professional Review and Guide
"This ride loops around the western half of Ann Arbor, affectionately known as "A Two" or "A Squared," encompassing several parks, residential and rural areas, hills and flats, and a beautiful home stretch along the Huron River.
Home of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor has been called "Athens of the Huron" since the 1800s, for its richness in culture and education. It's also heaven for cyclists, with its many bike paths, lanes, and trails. Between students looking for low-cost transportation and ecology-minded inhabitants, bicycles are everywhere, and drives are generally biker-friendly. Things to see: Scenic Huron River, Gallup Park, old barns, Delphi Metropark.
The ride begins at Gallup Park, a gem along the Huron River. The park has food, drinking water, rest rooms, and a playground, as well as canoe, paddleboat, and bike rentals. At the bottom of the one-lane bridge, you’ll find the path where the ride starts."
