Mount Agamenticus

Mount Agamenticus Professional Review and Guide

"Mount Agamenticus goes by the names Aggie, Mount A, and sometimes, the Big A. Whatever you decide to call it, the terrain here is the most expansive to be found in Southern Maine or Seacoast New Hampshire.

A myriad of abandoned roads and game paths have become the routine destination for hundreds of mountain bikers. A hilly layout, coupled with multiple wetlands, ponds, and streams make Mount A a challenging place to ride even on a good day. Trail Surface: Worn single and doubletrack, repetitive climbing, one long climb, and many eroded sections."

The map here does not do the north side justice. Check out the Mt. Agementicus web site for a better map. The abandon ski run is a blast, eventhough short. Fun and challenging rocks and roots around the base.
