Jetty Walk

Jetty Walk Professional Review and Guide

"Visit a wide seawall for a broad perspective of the Wells Harbor channel, Wells Beach and Drakes Island, and a boardwalk through fragile dune habitat. A breakwater is a barrier designed to protect a harbor or beach from the force of ocean waves. The jetty boulders at Wells Harbor are flat sided and secure for safe walking (when the waves aren’t crashing over the breakwater).

However, pay careful attention to the gaps between the boulders and take deliberate steps. The channel directs boats behind the Wells barrier beach to the mouth of the Webhannet River. Special Features: boardwalk over sand dunes, wide pink granite jetty extending into the ocean, harbor views, and shorebirds and harbor seals."
