Skowhegan Professional Review and Guide

"A village hike beginning on the banks of the Kennebec River near a Revolutionary War historic site, passing through a city park, and ending at a dam on the river.

Hikers may see more than 200 species of shrubs, trees, and flowers along the Kennebec River in 12.5-acre Coburn Park, a riverside picnic area. Various entertainers perform here on Sunday afternoons in the summer. General location: About 15 miles northwest of Waterville, in Somerset County, central Maine."
