Flagstaff Lake Professional Review and Guide
"The beautiful Bigelow Mountains just to the south carry the Appalachian Trail to 4,000 feet, or 3,000 feet above the lake’s surface. To the north, Flagstaff Mountain stretches to 2,500 feet while layered hillsides recede into the distance at other compass points. The beautiful setting amid the northern boreal forest, with its pointed spires of fir, spruce, and tamarack, provides reason enough to travel to this remote area in the Rangeley Lakes Region. FISH: brook trout, salmon, chain pickerel."
