Noyes Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"This is a short but steep climb to the summit of a mountain in Western Maine with fine, panoramic views. The foot trail begins directly across the road from the parking area/trailhead and is marked with a yellow sign with the number 1 written in red. The trail winds through wooded country, with numerous wet spots. After a short distance, it begins the relatively steep ascent of Noyes Mountain.
About halfway to the summit the trail leads from ledge to ledge, requiring a short but rigorous scramble. Just before you reach the summit, the panoramic views to the south and southwest become apparent. Special attractions: Little Androscoggin River canoe trip, Snow Falls Gorge, Paris Hill Village, Perham’s Rock Shop and Museum. Harvard Quarry, a mine prospect at the summit, is a popular destination for rock hounds."
