Little Spencer Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"Even though Little Spencer Mountain is far from the highest in the state and the distance is short, this is one of the most challenging hikes in this guide. The climb is very steep, crossing several rock slides and climbing a nearly vertical chimney. Leave your dog and small children at home, and come prepared to work hard for the best view of the Moosehead region. From the semi-open summit you can see from the Bigelows to Katahdin, and from the lowlands of the Penobscot Valley to Coburn Mountain and the Allagash Country."
