Canada Falls Lake

Canada Falls Lake Professional Review and Guide

"Don’t be shocked when you arrive at the Canada Falls Lake boat access. The relatively large campground will be filled with campers, dogs, children, beer cans, and noise in the middle of the season. We could not wait to get out onto the much more peaceful lake. When we paddled here on a weekend at the end of July, with only light breezes rippling the surface, we saw one other boat on the water up close, and that one was trolling at idle speed down the long outlet channel.

Fishermen seem to like Canada Falls Lake for the same reason that signs warn away the high-speed boating crowd. A gazillion submerged and not-so-submerged stumps provide plenty of hiding space for fish and make speedboating dangerous. Prominent fish species: brook trout."
