Quaggy Joe Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"Quaggy Joe Mountain rises from the rolling hills of Aroostook County southwest of Presque Isle. The mountain is made of erosion-resistant rhyolite, a volcanic rock found in several parts of Maine. The mountain was formed when the softer sedimentary rock around Quaggy Joe Mountain eroded away, leaving a small, steep-sided mountain. The trails on the mountain reflect this geologic history: They are steep and rocky. North Peak offers fine views in every direction."
