Bait Hole Loop Ski Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"In the shadows of Maine’s highest peak, Mount Katahdin, the Bait Hole Cross-Country Ski Trails are probably one of the state’s most well-known secrets. Through the savvy work of area volunteers, some 6.0 miles of groomed trails wind along logging roads, access roads, and paths cut by the skiers themselves as part of the Millinocket Municipal Trail Network. The volunteers, skiing and snowshoeing members of the Northern Timber Cruisers Snowmobile Club, maintain the Bait Hole Trails and the 11.0 miles that are part of the Millinocket Area Cross-Country Ski Trails at the organization’s clubhouse. The trails are linked by a flat-to-rolling 5.0-mile ski along the Golden Connector Trail. Some one-third of the club members are skier-only members. Surface quality: Groomed and tracked."
