Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Amphitheater Trail winds from Little Harbor Brook Bridge to 245-foot-long Amphitheater Bridge—the longest bridge in the carriage road system—and crosses a glacially carved valley between the Sargent and Penobscot ridges to Birch Spring.

This trip takes you to the short spur up Cedar Swamp Mountain, but you can also make a longer day hike by adding Sargent or Penobscot."
