Bald Rock Mountain

Lincolnville, Maine

Bald Rock Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"The open rock summit of Bald Rock Mountain has views as fine as any in the Camden Hills, yet you are unlikely to see another hiker on the trail. From the summit you have a sweeping view of Penobscot Bay and its islands. Beyond the bay you can see Blue Hill and the mountains of Mount Desert Island.

The Bald Rock Trail climbs away from the Multi-Use Trail and into a rocky evergreen forest. As you near the summit, the mature evergreens give way to stunted birch and spruce, exposed bedrock, and blueberry bushes. A short side trail climbs the rock to the open summit. From the summit you have an unobstructed view of Penobscot Bay with Islesboro in the foreground."
