Hogback Mountain

Liberty, Maine

Hogback Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"This hike follows the Georges Highland Path west from ME 220 to the summit of Hogback Mountain. The trail first climbs Hogback Ledges, then contours south around the ledges through a forest dominated by beech to a spring.

Beyond the spring, the trail leaves the forest and follows a dirt logging road. The trail reenters the forest and climbs across a false summit then to the open ledges near the summit. The trail loops across the summit and back to the logging road."
