Tidal Information
The Piscataqua River has very strong currents that may result in increased conditions. The southern and eastern sides of Gerrish Island are exposed to open ocean and can turn very rough, with increased wave heights in the near-shore shallower waters, which are generally rock-strewn. The entrance to Brave Boat Harbor can be difficult to negotiate in bigger conditions.
