Katahdin Lake Trail

Katahdin Lake Trail is a hiking trail in Penobscot County and Piscataquis County, Maine. It is within Elliotsville Plantation, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, and Baxter State Park. It is 3.8 miles long and begins at 1,282 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 1.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 90 feet. Near the trailhead there is parking. The South Katahdin Lake Lean-to shelter can be seen along the trail. The trail ends near the Katahdin Lake Camps wilderness hut and the Katahdin Lake Camps site. There are also grass near the end of the trail. This trail connects with the following: Katahdin Lake Canoe and Martin Ponds Trail.
