Dyer Long Pond and Musquash Pond

Dyer Long Pond and Musquash Pond Professional Review and Guide

"Much of the shoreline is covered with granite boulders, deposited by glaciers 10,000 years ago as they gouged out the lake bed. The large boulders deposited just under the water’s surface by the same glaciers do not enhance the pond’s scenic character.

Instead, they scrape the boat bottoms of unwary paddlers. Go slowly near the shoreline, especially where boulders jut out to form a point. We saw an osprey, loons, and several beavers when we paddled here in the early evening. Prominent fish species: largemouth bass."
