Little Cranberry Island

Little Cranberry Island Professional Review and Guide

"A hike along the beaches and roads of an offshore community. The ferry docks at the village of Islesford which has a seasonal restaurant on the dock, a general store, the Islesford Museum, and the Blue Duck Ship's Store, a historic store owned by Acadia National Park.

The museum is open only in summer, when it is staffed by a park ranger. It contains photographs taken during the extreme winter of 19221923, when the ocean froze between the island and Northeast Harbor. General location: Islesford in the Cranberry Isles, about 2.5 miles south of the eastern section of Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park."
