Hatchet Mountain

Hatchet Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"This hike switchbacks up the side of Hatchet Mountain on the road built to get to the cell tower on the summit. The broken rock underfoot and along the trail is stained bright orange with iron.

From open areas along the way, you get views of Hobbs Pond at the foot of the mountain and the Camden Hills beyond. Near the summit the view opens up to include Penobscot Bay, seen between Mount Megunticook and Bald Mountain."
