Notch Ponds

Notch Ponds Professional Review and Guide

"The two Notch Ponds don’t sit in a notch. Rather they are nestled against the shoulder of Little Moose Mountain’s western end where it drops down to Big Indian Pond.

The trail follows the ponds’ outlet stream through mixed forest and past some low cliffs. The two ponds offer peaceful resting spots with views of the surrounding hills. The trail ends at a gravel beach on Big Notch Pond where you can swim or just relax and watch the loons."
