Little Lyford Ponds

Little Lyford Ponds Professional Review and Guide

"This hike follows the Laurie’s Ledge Trail down from the trailhead to Nation’s Nature Path. NNP is an easy loop that visits many of the area’s highlights. You visit First Little Lyford Pond, the AMC lodge, the historic trail to the camps, The Pinnacle, and Marian Rock.

Built in 1874, Little Lyford Camps was popular with generations of trout enthusiasts who enjoyed the rustic cabins and isolated setting. In 2003 the Appalachian Mountain Club bought the camps and 60,000 acres of land around them. They have developed more than 80 miles of hiking and skiing trails that connect to the nearby Appalachian Trail and to Gulf Hagas. The Nation’s Nature Path is an easy loop that visits many of the area’s most historic and scenic features."
