Burnt Jacket Mountain is a rounded dark green cone that rises from a peninsula that sticks out into Moosehead Lake between Greenville and Lily Bay. Three different trails climb the mountain. This hike uses all three to create a lollipop hike that circles the mountain. The best views are from the Green Trail just below the semi-open summit. The hike begins in a gravel pit and follows the Red Trail up the mountain through regenerating forest and swales of brambles. In late summer you can snack your way up the mountain on blackberries and blueberries.
