Josephine Newman Sanctuary

Josephine Newman Sanctuary Professional Review and Guide

"The Josephine Newman Sanctuary is on a finger of land that bisects the southern reaches of Robinhood Cove. The sanctuary’s trails loop through the woods past a waterfall, old stone walls, piney woods, low boggy ground, rocky ridges, and a mile of shoreline that includes a reversing falls in the narrowest section of Robinhood Cove.

This hike follows several of the sanctuary’s trails, the first
being the Horseshoe Trail across a meadow and into the woods. The trail parallels Robinhood Cove, visible through the trees. Beyond the southern end of the cove, the trail follows a stream to a waterfall, then crosses to the east past several stone walls."
