Harraseeket River and Maquoit Bay

Harraseeket River and Maquoit Bay Professional Review and Guide

"These waters are amazingly quiet, because the abundant mudflats and shallow areas are not inviting to many other boaters. However, it does serve as an invitation to a wide variety of birds that feed among the shallows and use Maquoit Bay as a resting stop for spring and fall migrations.

Just below Maquoit Bay you’ll find the undeveloped shores of Wolf Neck, where there is a 218-acre state park with hiking trails, natural history displays, picnic tables, and bathroom facilities. It is not easy to land on the rocky shores of the park and there are no facilities for boaters, so do not count on making a landing here."
