I really love this park. It's a great place to take kids or folks who can't hike very far due to disability or age or health constraints. The views are fantastic for the amount of work invested. It's literally 0.1 miles from the trailhead!

You can view the hawk migrations from the summit.

If you want a longer hike you can take the Northern Loop trail & the Boundary Trail around the park to the summit and get a varied landscape from deciduous trees into a beautiful coniferous hillside.

Highly recommended for a fall hike.

Your fairly standard State Park. There is a fee to get in to use the trails, cookout area or playground. The parking area is nice and big. You can bring dogs, but they MUST be leashed. The trails area well trampled and easy to follow. This place gets very crowded in the summer/weekends. There are several trails to enjoy.

Relatively easy hike to the summit. Trail could be better marked but still seems to receive quite a bit of use. Most of the trail is gravel with few rocky areas, a good easy hike at a modest pace.
